Maturity Testing

VLS provides accurate, fast and cost-efficient maturity testing across a range of market fruit including kiwifruit, KiwiBerry, citrus, and avocado.

Would you like to grab the Kiwistart and Taste premiums? Our tests include dry matter, brix (testing fruit sweetness and overall maturity), flesh and seed colour, fruit pressure and weight.

Being an IANZ accredited lab, our reports give you a concise indication of your fruit profile to date, giving you an indication of future clearances.

Ethylene Testing

Premature ripening of fruit in a coolstore leads to costly fruit loss. Our ethylene testing service monitors your coolstore and allows you to best manage ethylene accumulation. It also allows you to prioritise loadouts to minimise fruit loss.

Ethylene testing can be completed as a one-off test or on a regular basis, as needed. For our regular customers, we are introducing a sustainable courier return and postage service.
